There is no doubt that indonesian authors of these essays have demonstrated their potential for productive scholarship. As Graduate students in the M.A. and Ph.D. Programs, tehy have contributed to their feilds of specialization under the supervision of their professors. Much more is expected of them when they go back home to become leaders in scholarship in their own country and in the world. They have now learned that true scholarship has to establish its self internationally, that it is cumulative and requires on going cooperatin and debate among scholars, and that its ultimate aim is to advance human knowledge in the service of better life and free human development for the sake of greater happines for all.
